Your first $10 is a down payment: it counts toward whichever option you choose, so nobody pays extra for taking a month to decide.

Photographs and galleries you buy are yours permanently. They don’t expire, and they stay with your account even if your access lapses. Every renewal adds 250 more photographs, so your space grows the longer you stay.
If you stop paying
Nothing is deleted when it lapses
Not on the day, not a month later. Your photographs stay where they are — see below for what happens if an account stays lapsed a long time.
You can still sign in
Look through everything, and download all of it, any time — lapsed or not.
Your galleries go quiet
Visitors see a short note saying the gallery is paused. They’re never told why.
Renewing brings it all back
Exactly as you left it. Nothing to rebuild, nothing to re-upload.
If an account stays lapsed for more than a year we may eventually remove it — but a person reviews that by hand and writes to you first. We never delete automatically. Please keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable, wherever you store it.
And if we ever close Our Heroes, you’ll hear from us at least 90 days before, and you can sign in and download everything until the last day.
What we don’t do
—No subscriptions. Every purchase here is one payment. Nothing renews itself, and we never keep a card on file.
—No surprise charges. If your access is ending, we write to you. You decide what happens next.
—No price rises on something you’ve already bought. What you paid covers what you paid for. Prices may change for new purchases.
—No selling anything about you. Not your photographs, not your visitors, not your email address.
—No charge for the people you invite. Family and friends who help with a gallery are free, always, however many.
