A gallery wall, a neutral proof grey, and a darkroom are the three surrounds work is usually judged against, and mid-grey is the standard because a neutral ground doesn’t color your perception. All three share one typeface pairing on purpose: the ground changes and nothing else does.

what you get

The sequencePages, in the order you decide. A series can run over several, each with its own lead image — and you can write between the pictures wherever the work needs a note.
A link, not an accountSend the address to a juror, a gallerist or a curator. They see the work without signing up for anything.
Captions that carry the factsMaterials, dimensions, year — whatever the piece needs. They travel with the photograph, including in the download.

keeping a submission private

A new gallery is reachable by its link and nothing else. It isn’t listed anywhere and search engines are told to leave it alone — which matters when a piece is under consideration and an open call asks that it not be published elsewhere. Being findable is a switch you flip on purpose.

A viewing passwordVisitors meet a password page first; you and your collaborators always get straight in. It guards the gallery page, not each photograph.
A private groupA small circle — a studio group, a gallery collective, a cohort, a crit — who sign in to see it, or whom you send a view link. Never listed, never indexed.
Take it downUnpublish or delete a gallery whenever you like. Download your photos any time, by gallery or all at once.

what happens to your files

We know “high quality” means different things to different people, so here’s our framing:

Stored sizeLong edge capped at 3200 pixels. Anything smaller is left alone — we never enlarge.
FormatRe-encoded to JPEG at quality 90, with the colour profile flattened onto white. Transparency is composited, not discarded.
Camera RAWRefused, on purpose. A RAW file only carries a small preview we can read — you’d lose most of the resolution silently. Export a JPEG or HEIC first.
What you downloadThe stored copy above, plus a spreadsheet of every caption and date. And, for photographs uploaded from 2 August 2026, the file you gave us — kept byte for byte, up to 8 MB each. Anything larger keeps its metadata but not its original bytes. This is still not a backup: keep your own copies.
Room250 photographs across every gallery on your account, with more available when you need them.

In short: this is a showing surface. We now keep your original file alongside the copy we display, so ingesting here no longer costs you resolution — but it is still not an archive, and never the only place your files should exist.

We never sell, licence or train on your work. No marketplace, no print fulfilment, no commission, and nothing shared on your behalf. Discovery stays off until you turn it on.

Attribution is yours to set. A byline on any written passage, and a footer line that stays under your name — useful when a page leaves your hands.
